It is the policy of the IMPACT business Organization to have a safe and healthful workplace. Therefore, we believe in maintaining an effective safety program. All methods, procedures and equipment necessary to achieve this goal are consistently utilized. The responsibility for safety extends to every individual working at the Company.

It is a fundamental principle of Impact Sand and Gravel that no job is so important and no service is so urgent that we cannot take time to perform our work safely. We are committed to ZERO ACCIDENT PERFORMANCE and are dedicated to SAFETY EXCELLENCE.

To protect employees and the public from job related injuries or illnesses and to promote a healthful work environment, Management will foster a company wide CULTURE OF SAFETY EXCELLENCE by applying the following practices:

• Maintain an active Safety and Health Program for all employees;
• Maintain a continuing education program to inform and train employees in safe work practices and procedures and to maintain employee interest in the Safety and Health Program
• Insist on compliance with safety rules, regulations, practices, and the use of prescribed PPE
• Maintain the programs and training necessary to comply with applicable government regulations
• Support an active Safety Health  member at each site to plan and take part in the safety and health program
• Foster an environment of continuous improvement by measuring performance metrics and soliciting on safety performance input from workers, supervisors, SSHO’s, and SH professionals.
• Encourage the use of safety incentive and motivational programs to encourage employees to work safely and develop safe work habits
• Conduct regular safety inspections to find and correct unsafe acts and conditions
• Empower Employees to issue Stop Work instructive any time violation is observed
• Document and investigate all “near miss” incidents to determine root causes and refine work practices
• Investigate all accidents to prevent a recurrence, and file a written accident report on all OSHA recordable injuries or illnesses;
• Provide training and ensure the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and safeguards where required to promote employee health and safety
• Provide adequate First Aid or medical facilities for treatment of job related injuries or illness
• Insist on a high standard of housekeeping at all sites at all times

A safe working environment is one of the fundamental values of Impact Sand & Gravel’s (“ISG”) company culture. The ISG Safety Department is diligent in providing all necessary training, education, and continued support to all employees. Impact Sand & Gravel takes pride in the managerial involvement, implementation and support of the Safety Department. All ISG superintendents have successfully received their applicable OSHA 10 and 30 Hour Certificates. Safety is a full-time commitment requiring each employee to be responsible for themselves and their fellow workers. We are proud of our safety record and will continue to work towards our goal of zero work-related incidents.
