silver frost gray decorative rock las vegas

The Gray Rock Built for Modern Las Vegas Landscapes

Premium silver-tone decorative rock that pairs with concrete, steel, and architectural planting. ISG's signature modern product. Delivered from the closest of our sourced quarries.

ISG's Signature Gray Decorative Rock

Silver Frost is a 3/4" aggregate with silver, gray, and white undertones. The subtle metallic quality reads sophisticated without being loud. This is the decorative rock we recommend when a project calls for modern instead of desert.

Full Vegas sun doesn't fade it, and the color holds under sprinkler overspray and dust. Unlike painted gray aggregates (which exist and fail fast in the sun), Silver Frost's tone comes from the stone itself.

When Silver Frost Is the Right Call

The Vegas architectural trend of the last fifteen years leans flat-roof contemporary, with gray stucco, steel accents, and minimal planting. That look doesn't work with warm-tone rock. Silver Frost does.

01

Gray Concrete Patios

A ground cover that doesn't create a color step-change at the patio edge.

02

Architectural Plants

Aloes, agaves, yuccas read sharper against a neutral cool-tone background.

03

Minimal Planting Plans

Fewer plants, more ground. The rock carries visual weight without being busy.

04

Desert Modern Aesthetic

Palm Springs-influenced Vegas builds call for cool, neutral tones.

05

Steel & Corten Hardscape

The metallic sheen picks up industrial detailing in planter boxes and edging.

06

Commercial Entries

Professional, contemporary appearance without the cost of pavers.

Check Your Existing Palette First

If the rest of the yard runs warm (terracotta planters, wood accents, brown stucco), Silver Frost will fight the palette. Look at Brown Rock or Red Rock instead. Silver Frost only works when the rest of the design is cool-toned.

What Looks Good Against It

  • Blue agave, silver sage, desert spoon
  • Aloe, yucca, architectural succulents
  • Golden barrel cactus (yellow-green pops against silver)

Cool-Tone Materials It Loves

  • Gray pavers, poured concrete, gabion walls
  • Corten steel edging, stainless accents
  • Gray or white stucco, board-formed concrete

Dark-Stained & Char-Finished

  • Black-stained fencing
  • Ipe decking
  • Charred shou sugi ban. Cool gray makes dark wood look deliberate

Not Sure Gray Is Right?

Frequently Asked Questions

No. The gray color comes from the natural stone itself, not surface treatment. Painted gray aggregates fade in Vegas sun within a year or two. Silver Frost holds color for the life of the install.
Silver Frost has a subtle reflective quality. A soft sheen that catches light without looking metallic or artificial. Generic crushed gray aggregate is flat. Silver Frost reads premium because of that sheen.
At 3 inch depth, one ton covers about 72 sq ft. A 1,000 sq ft yard needs around 14 tons. Use our Material Calculator for exact numbers, or call (702) 597-1010.
Yes. When replacing turf grass, it qualifies for up to $5/sq ft from SNWA, or up to $7/sq ft with LVVWD participation. A pre-conversion site visit is required.
It's a modern product. It works best with contemporary architecture and cool-tone plants. If you've got a traditional desert palette (terracotta, warm stucco, mesquite-tone wood), Silver Frost will fight the color scheme. Brown Rock or Red Rock is the better fit there.
Minor variation is normal. The stone is natural, not manufactured. If you're matching an existing install, pull a sample before ordering. For large jobs, ask us to load from a single quarry source when possible.
